A policy for Sudoku

This Privacy Policy explains how Sudoku Studio ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in the Sudoku app for iPhone and iPad and on this privacy webpage. It does not cover services operated independently by Apple or your email provider.

02 · Local app data

What Sudoku keeps on your device

Sudoku creates and saves the information needed to provide the game. This data is stored in the app's private local storage and is not transmitted to us.

• Puzzles and play: generated puzzles and solutions, entered values, notes, hints, undo history, and current progress.
• Activity: completion history, elapsed times, streaks, personal bests, and game statistics.
• Preferences: board size, timing mode, appearance, conflict highlighting, haptics, and timer settings.

03 · Data collection

What the app does not collect

The Sudoku app does not collect or transmit personal information, gameplay data, device identifiers, usage analytics, diagnostics, or advertising data. It has no account system, advertising network, analytics service, tracking technology, or third-party software development kit.

The app does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising.

04 · Services and backups

Apple services remain separate

The app does not operate a backend and does not sync gameplay between devices. Apple independently processes information when you download or update the app through the App Store under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, iOS or iPadOS may include the app's local data in a device backup. Those backup services are controlled by you and Apple; Sudoku does not access them.

05 · This website

A simple, cookieless page

This privacy webpage does not use cookies, analytics, JavaScript, forms, remote fonts, or third-party advertising content. Our hosting infrastructure processes standard network information, such as your IP address and browser request, as needed to securely deliver the page. We do not use that information to profile or track visitors.

06 · Support communications

When you choose to email us

If you contact us, we receive the email address, message, and any other information you choose to include. We use it to respond, provide support, and improve Sudoku. Your message is delivered and stored by the email providers involved in the communication, subject to their privacy practices.

We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably useful for these purposes or as required by law. Please do not send sensitive personal information. You may ask us to delete your correspondence by emailing us.

07 · Your choices

Control and deletion

You can stop all app data storage by deleting Sudoku. Deleting the app removes its locally stored puzzles, progress, history, statistics, and settings from that device. Any copies held in an Apple-managed device backup are controlled through your Apple backup settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights regarding information in support correspondence. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Because the app does not send us your local gameplay data, we cannot retrieve or delete that data for you.

08 · Children

No personal data collection in the app

Sudoku is a general-audience puzzle app. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. If you believe a child sent us personal information in a support email, contact us so we can delete it.

09 · Changes

Updates to this policy

If Sudoku's privacy practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way before they take effect when required.
